Additional Clearances
Oral/Maxillofacial Defects
Radiesse can be used to correct a variety of oral and maxillofacial conditions, including periodontal and cystic defects, ridge augmentation, extraction sites, craniofacial augmentation, and sinus lifts.
Vocal Fold Insufficiency
Radiesse is injected lateral to the vocal folds and the vocalis muscle. The bulking effect of the implant medializes the vocal folds, facilitating speech and preventing inadvertent aspiration of liquids, as well as correcting shortness of breath caused by laryngeal incompetence.
The Radiesse injection procedure can be done percutaneously or trans-orally with endoscopic guidance, with local or topical anesthetic as required. Since the procedure can be performed in your office with the patient awake and able to talk, you can immediately assess the patient's speech and more accurately determine the amount of material required for optimal correction.

Radiographic Tissue Marking
Radiesse is an injectable radiopaque implant material that provides an alternative to tissue markers typically used to mark tumors for tracking and treatment purposes. The calcium hydroxylapatite in Radiesse provides for a biocompatible and long-lasting imaging site.
